SCHOOL PICTURE DAY IS COMING

Greetings!

I’m Kathleen Williams and I am a family photographer based out of Snohomish. I also photograph a number of schools in the fall and spring. I am so happy to be your school photographer at Creators House this year!

This is my 5th year doing school photography and my main goal is to make the experience fun for the kids. I take the time to talk to them, I give them simple prompts and I encourage playfullness, silly faces and more. I strive to capture all kinds of expressions and emotion, because let’s face it, kids are the best. Instead of forcing a smile, I encourage them to be themselves and let their own personalities shine. In the end you will receive a gallery with a variety of images where you can pick and choose your favorites.

My goal is to provide an easy and more personal experience to all the families who attend Creators House.

When will Kathleen be at our school?

Monday, October 27th.

Is there an order form?

There are no order forms-simply have your child show up for picture day. Each child will be photographed, unless you choose for them not to.

What should my child wear?

We want the focus to be on the child, not the clothing.

• Solid, neutral colors are best. Warm earth tones photograph well.

• Layering looks great.

• Simple patterns look good, but keep the pattern small.

• Stay away from logo’s as they draw attention.

• If your child has fair skin and hair, choose warm colors. Light clothing with this mix tend to look really washed out.

• If your child has that favorite shirt or dress, consider letting them wear it. It makes for a fun memory.

• No bright or neon colors as they cast color onto the skin.

AFTER THE SESSION

How will I order?

Within two weeks of photo day, the school will send out an email with the link to the school proofing gallery.

Each child will have an album with images in both color and black and white. I do not choose which photos you order; you do. From your album you will be able to order portraits, canvas wraps, and digital files directly from the viewing gallery. The ordering process is simple and secure.

The gallery will be live for seven (7) days.

ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED IN THAT SEVEN DAY PERIOD.  Once orders have been placed, your photos and/or canvas wraps will be sent from the lab directly to you. Digital download orders will go to your email.
